About MTAmazon

MTAmazon is a Movable Type plugin that uses your Amazon Associate membership to retrieve products from Amazon. It allows flexible searching and display of products from any of Amazon's product categories.

The plugin uses Amazon’s Web services toolkit to search for products by keyword, product category, artist, author, and more. Search results are cached for one hour to improve rebuilding performance on busy sites.

You can automatically search for products related to your blog entries with one of the special "related" keywords, or by using the contents of any MT tag in your search.

What's New

MTAmazon 2.2 introduces some new features:

Wishlist Display
Amazon Wishlists can be displayed just like any other product list
Seller Display
Do you sell through Amazon's auctions or zShops? Now you can display the products you currently have available.
Movable Type tags can be used as attribute values
In previous versions of MTAmazon, you could use MT tags as the search attribute like <MTAmazon search="[MTEntryTitle]">. Now you can use tags in any attribute on any tag.
Power Search
Search books using Boolean searches like "subject: history and (spain or mexico) and not military and language: spanish"
Expanded MTAmazonField tag
MTAmazonField can now display XML fields that aren't at the root of the XML document by using a familiar path syntax: <MTAmazonField name="Reviews/AvgCustomerRating">
Better error handling
Search methods and attribute values are checked for validity, making template debugging easier.
